This article written by Steve Russell was very timely just after spending few days at the Missouri Botanical Garden as well as refreshing my macro skills with a local photography instructor. Since macro has never really been “my thing” with the exception of very specific evidence photographs on fire investigation scenes in a former life, and when I say former life we are talking before digital photos where in the courtrooms routinely. This is a good read and primer for those who want to experiment with macro and need a few different ideas on equipment experimentation. Although primarily Cannon focused, they do reference some Nikon equipment. The article link can be found here: http://stci.me/4nOaoK
